Urban Farm Wins City Ag Grant

The City of Cincinnati urban agriculture program through the Civic Garden Center (CGC) offers occasional grants through out the year to help community gardens and urban farms. Mimi Rook and I successfully requested 38 yards of top soil! This is a $1200 grant. We are expanding the garden grow area at the Camp Washington Urban Farm (located south of the Salt Dome on I-75). We have three grow beds, hoping to  put in another two before Spring. We also just planted a bunch of garlic so we can provide fresh garlic to residents and retail shops. Thanks to Greg Potter from the CGC for visiting the urban farm.
