you’ll find magazines, books, crosswords, etc. Take something with you, or leave something for others.
New GED Test: In 2014, drastic changes to the GED test were made. The good news? Students can now take the test in sections, rather than all at once. The downside? The test is much harder. But fear not — we provide individualized instruction to help!

It was an honor to participate in the 2012 Literacy Center West graduation ceremony held June 7 at Elder High School. Not only did we celebrate the graduation of six Camp Washington Community School students, but 75-year old student Allen Barker was named Student of the Year!
The six graduates are:
- Allen Barker
- Chantell Edens
- Magen Bradshaw
- Sherella Searcy
- Teresa Coleman
- Charlie Wiley
“This was a beautiful ceremony,” said school director Joe Gorman. “Very inspiring words by the students, especially LCW student of the year, Jonathan Roberts.”
The Camp Washington Community School provides free GED and tutoring services. We offer one-on-one instruction. GED classes are held Tuesday and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2951 Sidney Avenue. Residents are encouraged to call 542-1637 today!
